Winter Weather - Fun While It Lasted
The story from Yahoo News, titled Warm Winter Weather Not Likely to Last, says that the abnormally warm temperatures the northern part of the country has been experiencing will probably go away, maybe as soon as next week, when the jet stream's pattern returns to normal. Apparently, instead of a west-east line which normally keeps the south warm and north cold, we've had a straight line, which kept temperatures warmer in the east as air moved in this area from the warm Pacific ocean. Sounds like the northern part of the country had it's own personal climate control system going on for a while -- very cool.
